Bos Taurus Steakhouse

Summary

ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical and natural gas engineering services for Bos Taurus Steakhouse, an upscale restaurant remodel in downtown Bend, Oregon. Working under Stephens Heating in a trade-led delivery model, the project converted a former restaurant space into a new dining concept requiring upgraded kitchen ventilation and gas infrastructure.
Scope included design and coordination of a new commercial kitchen hood system, exhaust and make-up air, and natural gas service within an existing building shell. Systems were engineered to meet current code requirements while integrating with legacy infrastructure typical of restaurant conversions.
Close coordination with Scott Edwards Architecture, Kirby Nagelhout, and trade partners supported constructability within tight existing conditions. The completed remodel delivers reliable mechanical and gas systems designed to support high-performance kitchen operations in an urban hospitality setting.
