ColeBreit Engineering is a woman-owned MEP engineering firm (MWBE-certified in Oregon, Washington, and California, and with the federal government), offering a suite of fully integrated engineering and design services. Laura Breit founded the firm in 2013 with the vision of providing the highest quality, hands-on, client-focused design and engineering services. That focus along with her excellent reputation among builders, owners and architects helped her quickly grow the company from a solo operation to a well-established team of 17. In 2022, ColeBreit purchased Axiom Engineers, which was owned by Laura's father, and has successfully merged the two firms into the vibrant 50+ person company that it is today. ColeBreit now has six offices: Bend, Medford and Eugene, Oregon and Monterey, Napa and Santa Cruz, California.
ColeBreit’s success has always been based on providing quality, integrity and expertise along with an unwavering commitment to excellent work. Though our team has grown, ColeBreit still embraces a personal approach that remains hands-on and collaborative, providing a positive project experience for clients. Our territory of projects extends throughout the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, and beyond.

ColeBreit offers a full range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering and design consulting services. Our client base includes architects, contractors, and property owners and operators. The ColeBreit team has expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting design, process systems, fire protection, controls, co-generation, refrigeration, and more. We have extensive experience with state and federal building codes, especially those that apply to affordable housing, including projects with HUD, FHA, UFAS, ESDS, and PHIUS requirements, as well as substantial experience with LEED projects and sustainable design.

Meet the ColeBreit MEP Engineering & Design Team
An engineering design and consulting firm’s most valuable assets are its employees. We have built our team with expertise in mind, and the people we have chosen to work for us are not just knowledgeable about their field – they are motivated to understand your concerns and objectives, and their diversity of experience and skills means that our clients enjoy the best product possible. ColeBreit is an engineering and design team, but we are a service company first.
LAURA BREIT, PE, LEED AP
Laura Breit is the majority owner, Managing Principal, and CEO of ColeBreit Engineering. She brings extensive experience as a professional mechanical engineer and LEED Accredited Professional to every project, including the design of HVAC, plumbing, and process systems for nearly every market sector, including commercial, education, pharmaceutical, science and technology, industrial, municipal, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, high-end residential, and agricultural facility types and businesses. She has experience working in the traditional design-bid-build and design-build project delivery methods, taking a custom approach to each project and the unique needs of the client.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is an LEED Accredited Professional and is deeply committed to serving her community. Laura sits on the board of the Bend Chamber, Growing Tree Children’s Center and the Deschutes Children’s Foundation.
