ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical and plumbing engineering services for the Amity Creek Magnet program at Thompson School within the Bend–La Pine School District in Bend, Oregon. The project involved targeted upgrades and modifications to support a specialized magnet curriculum within an existing school facility, requiring building system improvements that could be executed efficiently and aligned with school operations.
Mechanical systems were designed to deliver reliable comfort, ventilation, and indoor air quality for classrooms and shared learning spaces, while plumbing modifications were coordinated to meet student, staff, and program needs. Working with BBT Architects and R&H Construction, the team coordinated system updates to fit existing conditions and maintain compatibility with district standards.
Budget and schedule discipline were key drivers. Coordination across stakeholders kept system performance aligned with the program’s functional requirements while supporting a smooth construction process in an active educational environment.
