Crosscut Warming Hut No. 5
Summary
ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for Crosscut Warming Hut No. 5 in Bend, Oregon, supporting both the 2,500-square-foot permanent beer hall building and associated outdoor food cart pod infrastructure.
Systems were designed to serve the bar and gathering space while also providing shared mechanical, electrical, and plumbing utility connection points for rotating food vendors. “Food cart docks” were coordinated to allow efficient utility tie-ins, emphasizing durability, flexibility, and simplified tenant turnover in an outdoor hospitality setting.
Working with Stemach Design + Architecture, MEP infrastructure was planned to operate cohesively across permanent and temporary vendor environments. The completed project delivers integrated systems supporting a high-traffic destination combining food, beverage, and outdoor gathering space.
