Immersion Brewing (Now Up Liquids) – The Box Factory
Summary
Designed by Stemach Design + Architecture and constructed by SunWest Builders, the project required adapting existing building infrastructure to support brewing operations within a legacy structure. The TI included a 7,300 square-foot brewery and taproom for Immersion Brewing, located within The Box Factory - a historic mixed-use redevelopment in Bend, Oregon.
MEP systems were engineered to accommodate brewery-specific ventilation, drainage, domestic water, and waste requirements while integrating with the building’s historic framework. Utility routing and equipment coordination were carefully planned to align with brewing operations and taproom functions without compromising constructability.
Although the tenant has since transitioned to a new concept (Up Liquids), the infrastructure was designed to support long-term brewery and hospitality use within an adaptive reuse environment. The project demonstrates the integration of process-support plumbing and mechanical systems within historic commercial redevelopment.
