ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical and plumbing engineering services for the 3,000-square-foot remodel of Okawa Steak House & Sushi in Bend, Oregon. Working in coordination with designer CA Rowles, the project adapted existing building systems to support specialized hibachi and sushi kitchen operations.
The remodel required coordination of kitchen exhaust, ventilation, and plumbing systems to accommodate hibachi tables and high-heat cooking equipment. Systems were integrated within the constraints of an existing restaurant shell, requiring careful routing of ductwork, piping, and utility connections to maintain code compliance and constructability.
The completed project delivers reliable mechanical and plumbing infrastructure tailored to the operational demands of a specialty dining concept within a retrofit environment.
