Redmond Proficiency Academy
Summary
ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical engineering design services for the Redmond Proficiency Academy Middle School facility. Working under Mountain View Heating in a design-build delivery model, ColeBreit supported HVAC design and documentation for an approximately 24,000-square-foot educational facility serving classrooms, learning labs, administrative areas, and shared support spaces.
The project required an HVAC approach that balanced indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and code-compliant ventilation for a flexible-space school environment—while staying practical to install and maintain. Rooftop-mounted equipment and distributed zoning were coordinated to support varied room uses and schedules typical of an alternative education program.
Collaboration with the architect and mechanical contractor focused on delivering a constructible system that aligned with field conditions, equipment access, and long-term operations. The result is a straightforward, maintainable HVAC design tailored to day-to-day school performance needs within a contractor-led process.
