Robberson Ford / Lincoln Dealership Upgrades & Remodel
Summary
ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) engineering services for the 28,476-square-foot Robberson Ford/Lincoln dealership upgrade and remodel in Bend, Oregon. The renovation aligned the facility with updated Ford and Lincoln prototype standards while allowing the dealership to remain fully operational throughout construction.
The project included upgrades to the showroom, customer areas, service drive, and back-of-house functions, each with distinct system demands. HVAC design incorporated VAV systems for office areas, rooftop units for showroom and vehicle delivery spaces, radiant heating at the service drive, and specialized cooling for IT and equipment rooms. Plumbing, fire protection, snowmelt, and electrical systems were fully coordinated, including a phased electrical service cutover to maintain uninterrupted operations.
Working closely with BBT Architects, Kirby Nagelhout, and R&W Engineering, system upgrades were sequenced to align with construction phasing and manufacturer requirements. The completed facility delivers integrated, code-compliant MEPF systems tailored to automotive retail and service functions within a constrained remodel environment.
