The Janis Medical Center

Summary

ColeBreit Engineering provided mechanical and plumbing engineering services for the 17,777-square-foot Janis Medical Office Building, a two-story outpatient facility developed by Getz Properties LLC in Bend, Oregon. Located within a designated medical overlay zone near major healthcare providers, the building was designed to accommodate multiple clinical tenants, including Bend Ophthalmology.
MEP systems were engineered to support exam rooms, clinical support areas, and flexible tenant spaces while maintaining comfort, ventilation, and code compliance appropriate for outpatient healthcare. Plumbing infrastructure and HVAC systems were coordinated to accommodate evolving tenant needs, with sustainable features including LED lighting and solar-assisted domestic hot water integrated into the base building framework.
Close coordination with Blaise Cacciola Architect, R&H Construction, and trade partners ensured constructability and long-term performance. The completed facility delivers adaptable mechanical and plumbing systems suited to modern outpatient medical use.
